Cavalier Logistics Celebrates the Grand Opening of Jessup II

A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held June 14th, 2021 celebrating the second State-of-the-Art 3PL facility to open on Howard County, Maryland. Honoring Cavalier with their presence were Howard County Executive Calvin Ball, Maryland Department of Commerce representative Bill Sorenson, and key members of the Howard County Economic Development Authority - HCEDA.

"Cavalier has been conducting business in Howard County, MD for over a decade and, among other reasons, that is due to the business-friendly environment Howard County has created. For our latest project in 2020 the bar was raised significantly. In the middle of a global pandemic, we were able to work with the Howard County team to source, permit, build out, and get signed approvals for our new state of the art Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Service 3PL facility in record time. Not only did Howard County recognize the urgency but they understood the importance of the County being a partner in the project. I can honestly say that we would not have achieved our goals without the Howard County team’s assistance. We are delighted to announce that Cavalier has decided to build a third 3PL facility in Maryland in 2021 and where would we choose to expand other than…you guessed it…Howard County!"

Robbie Neilson
Chief Operating Officer

Said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball:

“We’re thrilled to have Cavalier expand in Howard County with this second location and plans for a third. Despite the challenges of a pandemic, Cavalier has managed to adapt, create new jobs, and grow revenue. Small, local businesses like Cavalier are foundational to our road to recovery and a strong and prosperous business community in Howard County.”

The HCEDA began working with Cavalier Logistics in 2017 with the opening of a State-of-the-Art Validated Temperature-Controlled 2-8 ºC Cold Room at the Jessup I location. Since then, HCEDA has assisted with the second location and will continue to be a valued partner.

Stated Larry Twele, CEO of HCEDA

“When faced with the decision on where to locate their next logistics facility, Cavalier Logistics saw the value that Howard County had to offer through a centralized location, positive business environment, and a welcoming community. The strong relationships they had developed with the HCEDA, local businesses, and the county government made it the ideal location to expand their logistics operation.”

The Cavalier Executive Team was proud to welcome all our guest to help us celebrate continued growth through a global pandemic. COVID 19 Protocols were strictly observed during the outdoor event, which featured a Certificate of Recognition presentation to Cavalier and Appreciation Plaques presented to Cavalier's key partners who were integral to the project and exceeded our high expectations.

At 87,000 sq. ft., the new facility has tripled Cavalier’s Bio Pharma storage capabilities in Maryland and is nearing maximum capacity.
