Awards

Over the past several years, Cavalier has been graciously given several awards. We hope that you enjoy browsing through this section as we are very proud and humbled by the recognition we have received from our peers.

U.S. Department of State – October 2006

Cavalier is recognized by the U.S. Department of State "Bureau of Consular Affairs" division for our outstanding service during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

One of the largest federal passport facilities is located in New Orleans, Louisiana. This facility is one of three passport locations in the United States, and is instrumental in processing hundreds of thousands of passports annually. Due to the sensitive nature of these documents, Cavalier was called upon to assist the Department of State in retrieving all of the pending passport applications, along with blank passport booklets from a federal building in New Orleans.

This mission required manpower, equipment and vehicles. Cavalier personnel worked tirelessly for two days in horrendous conditions to accomplish this task. Once all documentation was recovered, Cavalier personnel then transported this important material to the Charleston Passport Center. Upon arrival in South Carolina, Cavalier was greeted by State Department officials who took possession of the applications. A few weeks later, Cavalier personnel involved in this project, were invited to the State Department for a ceremony. Cavalier was given a letter of commendation signed by the Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, and a plaque commemorating Cavalier's extraordinary effort and successful conclusion of this mission.

South African Airlines – February 2007

SAA hosted a black tie event in Johannesburg, South Africa in recognition of partners who provided outstanding customer support. Cavalier was awarded the Bronze Medal for "Most Productive North American Logistics Partner." During his speech, Mike Ball mentioned that Cavalier truly appreciated the first class service which SAA had provided throughout the year and that both our Government and Non- Government customers benefited greatly from this superior product. This event also gave Cavalier the opportunity to show the incredible flexibility of our staff. As the entertainment began, there was an issue with the drummer which threatened to de-rail the entertainment. Without a moment's hesitation, in stepped Mike Ball whose syncopating 4/4 beat kept the music flowing until the issue was resolved.

Austrian Airlines – March 2007

Austrian Airlines awards Cavalier for "Outstanding Partnership" for the year 2005-2006.

For the second straight year Cavalier was awarded the "Outstanding Partnership Award" by Austrian Airlines. Upon receiving the award, Tim Holdaway, President of Cavalier, stated "While the award itself is satisfying, it is what it represents which is far more important. We have always strived to build long term relationships with both customers and suppliers. This is a concept which is often talked about, but less often fulfilled. Our relationship with Austrian Airlines epitomizes the fulfillment of this concept, and it is our customers who benefit the most. It is a win, win, win situation."
