Regulatory Compliance

ISO 9001-2000

Cavalier's ISO team meets routinely to discuss every issue relating to process improvement and quality assurance. Every step of the process is then further reviewed and a control is put into effect to correct any procedural or operational discrepancies discovered during the process.

FDA, DEA, cGMP Compliance

Cavalier has standard operating procedures for packaging handling. We follow Good Distribution Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices. Cavalier follows operational SOPs for each service unless another procedure or mandated packaging protocol is required by a client. We will follow the SOPs for each client with specific interest on each product protocol. Because we are responsible for cGMP storage of controlled pharmaceuticals, we are in compliance with all of the 21 CFR requirements which were necessary to obtain our scheduled drug licenses from the DEA and Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Cavalier is audited regularly to verify compliance with the guidelines set forth in the licensing regulations.

Our Quality System encompasses the 21 CFR 211.142 for the warehouse SOPs, 21 CFR 211.150 for First in First Out inventory (FIFO), 21 CFR parts 600-611 for the storage of biological material, 21 CFR parts 210 and 211 for the storage of finished pharmaceuticals, as well as, many other parts specific to Current Good Manufacturing Practices cGMP. We have a complete Document Control Manual, as well as, our Controlled Environment Room Qualification Protocol used for calibration and validation. Cavalier also has calibration and validation protocols for our refrigerated trucks and all of our measuring devices. We operate the Cavalier facility using the SOPs and quality programs which we have established in order to secure our D.E.A. & Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance Licenses as well as, our ISO 9001-2000 Registration.

Cavalier has a quality team consisting of a Quality Officer and a Quality Control Director which perform in-house training, document review and process control on a regular basis. Our systems are calibrated and validated to industry standards as well as, NIST standards where applicable.
