Cavalier Logistics announces the opening of its all new Bio-Pharma Healthcare Services Center at 8100 C Dorsey Run Road, Jessup Maryland 20794. The cGMP storage and distribution facility is completely temperature controlled and features Validated Controlled Ambient Temperature Storage (CAT) of Scheduled Pharmaceuticals, Reagents, Life Science Components, in addition to other products which require a temperature controlled environment. Our validated air conditioned warehouse is set at 22.5°C and operates between 20°C and 25°C. The temperature is managed by a state-of-the-art monitoring system designed by EcoClimate Services, LLC.

The temperature monitoring system continuously reads the temperatures from 12 thermocouples located throughout the storage facility. These readings are stored permanently and the system is programmed to activate an alarm if the sensors detect a reading outside the acceptable set points. We also have validated -20°C and -80°C uprights available. The facility is 42,000 square feet and is completely secure. A 100kVA natural gas generator provides the redundant power for the facility. In addition, the facility has 3 kit assembly rooms for specific packaging or assembly of kits or material sets with labels and datasheets. Cavalier operates the facility under cGMP guidelines, 21 CFR Parts 210-880 and has written SOPs for all processes.

The map to the right shows Cavalier’s Headquarters in Dulles VA (B) and the new Jessup, MD Bio Pharma Healthcare Services Center (A). The facilities are centrally located on I-95 in the Mid Atlantic Corridor close to Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Richmond and New York City.

The Jessup, MD facility will accommodate pallet, skid bin and carton quantities of products requiring controlled temperature storage and we are constructing a Schedule 2 Drug Vault for several hundred pallet positions. The facility is being licensed by the DEA for storage of Schedule 2-5 Pharmaceuticals and the 3-5 Cage will accommodate over 1,000 pallet positions.
